  1. Hey Dominique!
Awesome job on your lesson! You could tell you put a lot of time into that power point and it paid off! I really enjoyed the worksheets as well! I do think that it was a lot of worksheets for a 15ish minute lesson. Maybe for next time, take a few from each and create your own worksheet? Another thing I would have liked to have seen done a differently was when you went over the answers. I think it would have been more beneficial to have students share their answers rather than just check them with what you wrote on the board. This would also allow you to assess the students right then and there if they "got it" or not. Over all great lesson and I can't wait to see what you have planned for us next! Good job! :)

  2. Hi Dominique!
I also think you did an awesome job :) I think you used technology effectively – the video was great (it made a possibly dry subject fun) and your PowerPoint slides really aided your lesson. You were very professional, demonstrated mastery of the content, and have a friendly and approachable presentation style. I agree with Emily that, while the worksheets were well-selected for the lesson, there were a lot of them – maybe you were trying to cover a little too much content in 15 minutes. I also agree that asking the students to give the answers would have been more effective than writing them on the board.
    Brava!

  3. Hi Dominique!
Yes I loved your lesson. I actually learned something myself so I'd say it was effective! :) I also liked the way you used technology. The video was a great intro. to grab attention and, like Jenna said, added a little extra fun to the lesson. I was thinking about their comments about too many worksheets and maybe to also take it up a step on Bloom's you could have the students write their own sentences and/or story using the specific parts of speech.

  4. Dominique,
I agree with Michela, I learned something! Maybe I wasn't paying attention in middle school- but I love learning about grammar-I always feel so ill informed-so thank you. I liked the power point as well. I thought it was effective and well thought out. You definitely had a mastery of your subject.

My one critique is really just in line with Emily. I liked the worksheets but there were a lot and they might be too tedious in an actual classroom. Maybe you could have done one worksheet (verbs) and then something else interactive for the other (adverbs).

Nice job! Thank you for helping develop my grammar skills!
